***This half day seminar will take place during the morning of Thursday 31st October 2024*** Back in 2021, Defra made a commitment to explore alternative arrangements for UK REACH transitional registrations to minimise costs for businesses following the end of the Brexit transition period. Since then, the registration deadlines have been extended to give time for the model to be developed. 2024 is an important year, as the UK authority consults on the new model, with changes to legislation expected to follow.
***This workshop will be delivered online and split over 2 half day morning sessions on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th November 2024*** The REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of CHemicals) Regulation affects almost every chemical substance that you manufacture, import or use to make your products and to run your processes. REACHReady's most popular workshop, this introductory workshop is an excellent place to start for those who are beginning to define their REACH obligations, aimed at business and regulatory managers and practitioners working in companies that make, import or use chemicals and for those who are new to the regulation. Ideal for anyone who needs to understand more about their obligations under the EU27 and UK REACH Regulations, and also of interest to suppliers of substances and mixtures who are looking to support their EU and UK customers on REACH.

10.30am - 12.30pm with lunch included. Recognising the growing importance of net-zero and wider sustainability (ESG) challenges to the future of our industry, CNW is launching a new interest group open to, and shaped by, its members. The CNW Sustainability Interest Group will focus on three inter-related areas: KNOWLEDGE-SHARING to keep members informed and updated in this fast-moving space. This could include horizon-scanning regulatory developments, new frameworks and/or guidance, case-study examples of best or improved practices and providing advice on specific topics. Raising ENGAGEMENT within the group membership and beyond. This could include members sharing experience, progress and learning from their own organisational journeys and widening engagement by welcoming new individuals/organisations. Kickstarting and supporting deeper COLLABORATION between members to accelerate progress. Collaborations could be based on trying to solve common challenges, matching challenges with innovative solutions and overcoming common barriers.
